The thought,you couldn't finish.
You talk. Somehow what you're actually thinking comes out. Then it writes it down.
Two things. Both yours alone.
Vitne does two things. You can use one. You can use both. You can switch between them whenever.
The chat.
Type what's on your mind. The AI asks the next question. Helps you find what you actually think.
The journal.
Save what's worth keeping. Or write fresh, like a diary. Yours to read, edit, delete.
Locked on your phone. Before it goes anywhere.
Like a sealed letter you keep the only key to. Vitne stores the box. You hold the key.
I can't read your stuff.
Not because I promised. Because the app is built so I can't. No master key. No admin peek.
Your words go to the AI. Your name does not.
To reply, your message leaves your phone for the AI to read, with no name or email attached. The AI provider does not train on it, and deletes it on their standard schedule. Vitne keeps your side of the chat encrypted, so you can come back to it, and still cannot read it.
If you lose your passphrase, your data is gone.
Signing in is one thing. The passphrase that unlocks your writing is another, and only you hold it. There's no reset for it. Save the recovery key somewhere safe.
“I'm one person in Oslo. Vitne is in public beta now. It's free while it finds its shape, and the door below is open.”
Fredrik Haugen
The door is open.
The public beta is live. An email gets you in. Free while Vitne finds its shape.
